TITLE: IT QUALITY ASSURANCE LEAD
TERM: 1 year contract – CHANCE TO RENEW
LOCATION: DOWNTOWN

PURPOSE OF JOB:
- Responsible for developing test project strategy, plans and overseeing testing activities for project/initiatives.
- Consult on a wide spectrum of existing and emerging testing practices, tools and processes. Lead large or complex testing projects.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES:
- Create, maintain and communicate test mission, strategy and work plans to team members, internal customers and senior management
- Responsible for developing and maintaining the overall program test strategy
- Work closely with the work stream facilitators, test and QA leads in ensuring the test strategy, plan meet the program critical success factors
- Oversees and ensures the successful development and coordination of the test strategy and plan
- Facilitates the development, implementation and adherence of BANK testing standards in partnership with other test teams
- Liaise with business and technology prior to testing to ensure correct data has been loaded
- Check and validate data, subsequent to load and prior to test executions
- Ensure test execution is successful and work closely with the relevant stakeholders to resolve or raise data issues
- Produce test logs for all tests which represent an audit log of the executed steps and outputs
- Regularly report progress to Project Control Officer and the Program Manager
- Track, maintain, mitigate or escalate all test and quality assurance issues, risks and open items
- Advocate the interests of the end application users throughout the testing process
- Ensure the successful completion of all testing commitments in a timely manner
- Ensure that the program as a whole, each team, and each individual team member follows proper SDLC and testing methodology, incorporating advances in testing technology and procedures wherever possible
SKILLS:
- Previous experience leading Quality Assurance Teams
- Solid experience with development of test strategies, programs, & successful execution
- Project management experience in a QA environment, keeping to schedule, tracking results, communication of findings
- Experience with SDLC and QA methodologies
- Experience working in Wholesale Banking Risk Analytics,
- Experience working with Sunguard tools is preferred.
